Winchester Australia is seeking an experienced Transport and Inventory Coordinator to be responsible for coordinating, monitoring and identification of efficiencies to improve transportation for the distribution of commodities across their supply chain network. The role also provides quality customer service by coordinating and monitoring inventory holdings and analysing turnover to determine optimum placement with the warehouse to continually meet customer and business expectations.

Role Responsibilities:

Coordinating, monitoring and improving transportation for the distribution of commodities
Monitoring return logistics and the processing of returns, warranting and servicing requirements
Performing inventory management responsibilities in line with standard operational procedures and work instructions
Monitoring the compliance of warehouse, 3PL and transport providers in line with state, federal  and industry regulations and standards
Reporting on operational outcomes on a weekly and monthly basis and compiling of other operational repots as required
Coordination of warehouse cycle counts including the monitoring, reporting, investigating and roll out of correction actions.
Communication of stock discrepancies to finance and trading teams for appropriate action

Key Selection Criteria:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a supply chain environment
High knowledge and understanding of transport management and inventory management
Ability to work autonomously
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to provide quality customer service
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Problem solving and decision making skills
Literacy and numeracy skills
A current drivers licence
A forklift license would be desirable
Experience using warehouse management systems and technologies
Knowledge and experience utilising MS Office Applications
Diploma of Logistics or Supply Chain Management would be advantageous
