About Us:

The SSAA (NSW) Sydney Branch is the largest shooting club in NSW, with over 34,000 members. We are seeking a keen and experienced Range Officer for a casual position at our Silverdale Shooting Range Facility. The Facility is open 7 days a week.

Range Officers, Silverdale Rifle Range

Role Responsibilities:

The Range Officer will report directly to the Silverdale Range Manager.  The key responsibilities of the Range Officer are to assist the Silverdale Range Manager with:

Day to day range operations

The running of events and competitions

Maintenance of the range and range equipment, including participation in, working bees and cleaning crew and carrying out specific cleaning and maintenance tasks

Maintenance of the highest possible safety standards

Maintenance of the security of the facility

Maintaining records of stock levels

Provision of high levels of customer service to members and visitors to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable experience.

Key Selection Criteria:

Must be a current Firearms Licence holder with Category A & B firearms with a minimum 3 years experinec. (Category H Licence desirable)

Have an understanding of firearms laws, regulations and the relevant Government Departments/Authorities

Previous experience as a Range Officer / Firearms Safety Training Instructor, shooting club/organisation management or employment in the firearms trade will be highly regarded.

Excellent communications skills both written and verbal

Computer literacy with Microsoft Office, Email, Spreadsheets etc.,

Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team

Demonstrated experience in basic maintenance and repair tasks.

Qualifications:

Must be a current Firearms Licence holder with Category A & B firearms with a minimum of 3 years of experience. (Category H Licence desirable)
