Here at NIOA, We’re on the lookout for an experienced Optics Specialist & Armourer. Working within the NIOA workshop and Optics lab, you’ll be repairing, modifying, and testing a wide variety of firearms and optics across many brand platforms.

Role Responsibilities:The responsibilities of the role will include, but not be limited to;
- Maintenance and modification of firearms and related equipment.
- Full circle repairs and modifications of firearm optics.
- Inbound and outbound data entry into ERP system for repairs and warranties.
- Inspect, troubleshoot and repair firearms and related equipment.
- Threading, chambering and fitting replacement barrels to rifles and pistols.
- Safe, professional and efficient practices within a workshop environment.
You will present a professional appearance, confidently communicate with clarity and openness all while upholding the strict safety standards that are required within the NIOA Workshop. A team player that can also work autonomously to achieve strict deadlines.
Key requirements:
- Experience as an Armourer/Gunsmith in a high paced professional environment.
- Experience as an Optics Specialist in a controlled environment.
- Practical and certified experience with repairing and modifying several different brand platforms.
- Valid QLD Firearms licence.
