About Us:

My Mates Outdoors is a one stop shop at Melton focused on providing quality products and customer service to our customers who enjoy fishing, shooting, camping and all things outdoors. We are currently recruiting for a new member to join our admin team with the ability to assist with sales when required. We are looking for people who love the outdoors as much as we do.

We are looking for someone who can maintain our Firearms Register, Forms and Point of Sale system. There is no margin for error as the reporting requirements are legislated and we need your care and attention for every entry, every time.  This is a casual position but is likely to become a permanent part-time position for the right person.

 

Role Responsibilities:

Maintain our firearms register including completing all Permit to Acquire applications, manual firearms returns and online transfers and acquisitions of firearms as required by LRD
Enter stock and process sales on our POS system, update details of firearms on our own and external websites
Receipt, replenish, display our amazing products as well as maintain our customer database
Keep up to date with our current and new products to our range (across shooting, fishing and camping)
Exceptional customer service, both face to face and on the phone
Maintain a high standard of showroom presentation
Pick, pack and ship our orders

Key Selection Criteria:

A current Victorian Firearms Licence is preferred
A current Victorian Drivers Licence
Can conduct regular stock takes (and audits when required)
Has a good knowledge of firearms, components and shooting disciplines is preferred
Is available to work Monday – Friday
Is motivated and able to work both independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications:

Previous administration or sales experience is highly desired.
Employment is subject to the applicant completing a National Police Check (with Fingerprints)
