Role Responsibilities:

Managing core admin tasks: Membership maintenance, correspondence, scheduling, file systems, reporting, and internal communication.
Supporting membership processing and renewals, including liaison with branches and volunteers.
Assisting with event logistics, board papers, and internal documentation.
Being the backbone of a lean, active team—someone we can rely on to keep things steady, smart, and on track.

Key Selection Criteria:

1. Proven administrative expertise
Demonstrated experience in high-level administration, including managing office operations, supporting executive or leadership teams, coordinating schedules, handling correspondence, and maintaining accurate records with strong attention to detail.

2. Strong alignment with organisational values
An understanding of, or genuine interest in, the role of hunting, conservation, and wetland management in Australia. Ideally, you have personal or professional experience in shooting sports, environmental volunteerism, or outdoor recreation, and can confidently represent the values and purpose of our organisation.

3. Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders. Skilled in prioritising tasks, meeting deadlines, and working independently while contributing positively to a team environment.

4. High level of discretion and reliability
Proven ability to handle confidential information, exercise sound judgment, and act with integrity and professionalism in all aspects of the role.

5. Strong technical capability
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), online file management systems, and CRM or membership databases. Comfortable using digital collaboration tools and adapting to new systems as needed.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will hold relevant qualifications and/or experience in business administration , office management, or a related field.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential, along with experience using database or CRM systems—ideally for managing membership or stakeholder information.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities are key to success in this role.
