Overview

Beretta Australia is a leading distributor of some of Australia’s most iconic brands within the firearms and outdoor sporting goods industry.

As the Credit Controller & Finance Officer, your primary role will be to manage the end-to-end accounts receivable function. You will also support the small, close-knit finance team by undertaking other accounting tasks as and when required. It will be your ability and willingness to take on additional accounting tasks that will determine the scope of this role.

This position reports to the Financial Controller and flexible working arrangements are available for the right candidate.

Role Responsibilities:

Your key responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to the following:

  • Reconciliation, analysis, and collection of credit accounts
  • Payment receipting and allocation
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Generating monthly customer account statements
  • Opening new customer accounts, processing credit applications, and undertaking credit checks
  • Resolving account disputes with customers and issuing credit notes as and when required
  • Monitoring customer orders against credit limits
  • Managing the escalation of debtor collections as and when required
  • Daily reconciliation of bank accounts across multiple currencies
  • Assist with managing inventory controls, including monitoring the completion of cycle counts
  • Managing the payment of overseas suppliers
  • Utilising your skills and knowledge to assist in other areas of the Beretta Australia business
Key Selection Criteria:

We are looking for someone with:

  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Customer focussed, with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Qualifications in accounting (desirable, but not essential)
  • 2+ years’ experience working in accounts receivable for a business turning over circa-$20+ million
  • Numerical ability and data entry skills
  • Experience using ERP systems (candidates who have used Sybiz Vision are particularly encouraged to apply)
